Hi does anyone here keep an adult Male Veiled, in an encloser of-

18.25Inches x 36.75Inches? [465mmx933mm] without any problems?

I have been told on here it should be ok, but just want to make sure before i order.

My male is far from fully grown but has started to outgrow his current viv im looking to upgrade it now in to the final size,

I was going to get a reptibreeze and mod it with plastic sides, but like the look of this custom made viv which already have three solid sides, mesh door and roof. but they only come in the size given, which im not sure about, Any help or advise would appreciated. thanks:) I know this size should be ok for my female Veiled and a male panther im getting,

so just want to make sure its definately fine for the male, as i eventually will like three of all the same vivs,

What's the height of it? Well, what's the other dimension?

Personally I'd never had less than 2' x 2' x 4' for an adult.

I used to have my guy in an 18x18x36 and he was miserable, it was his baby cage but I tried it out for a few months more than I should have to see if it could get away with not buying him an adult cage. He then was moved into a 24x24x48, and still roamed continuosly, he is now spoiled, and in a 2x2x6

Hmm i think i will go for the ex large reptibreeze then, and buy some plexiglass to cover the three sides, as i want him to have a nice space to roam thanks,:)

Reptibreezes are pretty good in all fairness. Big step up on the old flexis!

Yeah they seem quite good mate, only thing what was putting me off was all mesh but that can be solved, have seen your custom cage that is unreal, loads of room in there very nice indeed.

What's the issue with the mesh?

I am pretty proud of my enclosure! So thanks!

Nothing is wrong with it, i just wanted three solid sides, mesh front and roof, i wnted the solid sides to keep the heat in, and keep the humidty up when i mist, but to be honest im sure it will be fine,

the 4 foot repibreeze needs a stronger frame. the next size down is sturdy enough to lean something inside it. the 4foot is flimsy. with uvb fixture & drip cup on top it sits crooked & the latches pull the door down into place. id really like to be able to buy an xl cham enclosure thats strong enough to hang a pothos inside without being afraid of it collapsing. on the plus side, its light weight which makes it easier to take outside & clean & so forth. i hear ya bout the plexiglass cuz i need to be able to keep in the heat/humidity & drafts out especially during winter months. i just use shower curtains & attach them with velcro so i can take it off if its warm enough or i bring the cage outside for natural sunlight. just dont lean a log or anythin heavy inside.

I don't know. I can hang a pothos on the frame with rocks in the pot and mine doesn't even feel like it's going to tip over... I also have like 20-30 pounds of plant/rock on the bottom though...

They rust easily... If you can find a better 2x2x4 cage (or make one) then get it. The reptibreeze is okay though. I just wish it wouldn't rust so quickly.

Hi some1 told me that they solved this issue now, and have made them rustproof. im not sire how true it is though, i could make one or get one made, but to be honest have not really got the time, and i want to get all of the same for both of them, and one for my panther im thinking of getting:), Do they rust on the frame or mesh? thanks

Mine has only rusted on the mesh. I have no idea if they have fixed the problem or not. I don't even spray through the screen and it's rusting

Hmm lol i cant make up my mind, the custom ones im looking at are aluminum framed which are powder coated, and rust resistant mesh, look very nice, and just what i want,

I might go with that for now despite it being the smaller size, and see how he goes in that, if he gets to big i will swap it for for a bigger one right away and give my female the custom or my panther if i get it,I have heard of male Veieled being kept in this size, but i want to make sure it wont be to small.
