Digging test holes

My female Panther was mated exactly 30 days ago today. On day 27, she stopped eating. On day 29, her laying bin was placed in her enclosure and when I got home from work she was sleeping in her tree and had dug 2 test holes.

Hoping we have some eggs tonight when I get home!

Eggs!

It was so exciting getting home last night to see that she had covered one of the holes she dug the day before. Some careful digging revealed 19 beautiful eggs!

Now for the long wait!:D

Congrats on the eggs! How's your female doing?

Thanks! She seems to be doing well. Looks healthy, hydrated and ate the few crickets that were in her cage untouched for the past few days. I tossed more in pretty heavily dusted with calcium for her and she ate most of those. However, she looks thinner but not her normal thin. I'm thinking she may have more to lay so I put her laying bin back in and will be leaving it in there for the next while.

I've read that a female can lay two or even three clutches from one mating - can anyone give me a timeline in between laying these clutches?

It could be 3 to 6 months and have even heard of a retained clutch at 9 months.

Thanks Jann. I think she was still looking plump because the little piggy stuffed herself with crickets. She looks her normal self again. Now I know to keep an eye out for signs of a second clutch.
