Did my Cham shed

This afternoon I came home for lunch. While home I checked out my Chana cage and found some skin, at least it looks like skin.

I don't see any signs that he shedded. Can it happen in a few hours?

Hi!
According to the photo your cham probably DID shed. HOWEVER chams don't shed off in large bits like snakes do. Check your cham to see if the skin came off in an accident or something. if your cham HAS shed then you need to do a bit more research on shedding. hope I helped!

PS: Your cham is super cute! Is it a yemen/veiled because I got my first cham yesterday. She's called Jazzmin and she is a 3 month old yemen!

Actually, they do usually lose large sheets of skin, especially when young. I usually have an entire back piece with spines intact after one of mine sheds. My adult Yemen does shed in smaller pieces, but the shed in the OP's picture looks normal.
