Increase misting times. Use hot water in a sprayer and mist for 5+_ min a few times a day.

That should take care of it. If the urate is mostly white and a little yellow its not bad. He is not severely dehydrated. Orange would be more of a concern.

I would say mist, mist & mist. I take a sringe and inject water into feeders but most people think that is overkill. To me if it helps that is what I am after. Hey I just take care of my chams. Good luck.

You over killer! :p:D:) That will work to. If it helps keep them healthy and doesn't hurt. Can't be an over kill.

Hornworms will help as well. Full of goooey fluid.

i also use my dripper tube to encourage a little extra drink,i just drip it on the end of mista's snout and he more often than not takes quite a big drink.just be careful not to force it into the mouth but rather encourage to lick the drip.

and should I mist him directly becasue I will do that and he will run for it.

Using hot water in the bottle will help with that. He may not like it and will run. When he does spray around the enclosure then back on him. Don't continuously spray directly on him.

He may even start to drink right form the air while you are misting. He will start to open his mouth and take it in. After the misting let him be so he can drink off the plants.

Another idea that works well with misting :

A dripper provided all day by filling a cup and poking a small pin hole in it so that a drop slowly drips on a plant in the enclosure would make sure water is available all day.

Something I have experieced with misting is the technique. It can hurt! If you are misting hard or your atomizer (sprayer) is tuned just right to the point of a stream, it can feel like needles hitting your skin. You can test it on yourself but test on a sensitive part of your body, like under your arms or the back of your hand (forearms and palm are too tough). If it bothers you, you can bet it bothers them. Try spraying around them instead of on them.

Try backing off distance wise with your misting and take it easy.

since I was just away on holiday, I'm thinking that while he was being cared for by my breeder, there was not enough humidity and he became dehydrated and he has had trouble shedding to. I have been misting everywhere and on him with warm water and running my dripper. there has been stuck shed on him for 2 days now, should I go ahead and help get it off, if so what methods should I use?

Just keep spraying him and he should get it off. You will see him rubbing on everything inhis cage! keep an eye on him but give it a few days. I have a veiled that always take about 5 days to completely shed. No isea why.

My chams love a warm misting. Some even rush me when i arrive w/ the bottle and drink right from the bottles spout. It is so cool :)

He shows no interest in getting the shed of of him, its only on one side and its slowly getting better but its still bugging me and I want to help him get it off. Should I go ahead and use an cu-tip to rub it off? Also, what does orange feces mean?
