I'm not sure where to post this but,

I have a small colony of yellow polyps. Started out with about 30 when I first got them. They seemed "ok" for the first 2 weeks then they started to die. I since moved them up the the top of the tank where it has slowed down a bit, but I am still loseing them. I'm down to about 12

My tank- 20 gallons

1.025 salinity
8.3 ph
ammonia, nitrites 0
nitrates 10
phosphates 0
calcium 450
Lighting- T5 HO 10,000k
I've heard that they grow fast and are invasive, but mine are only going down hill. I feed them ( spot feed) Kent marine zooplankton. They also will take fish flakes

Thanks

sorry to hear, i used to keep corals for a while. Sounds like you have mostly everything in check. One thing that really helped me to get my corals to grow was to do frequent water changes with a good mix. I used to swear by this brand salt

heres a pic of one of my old ones :(

Cool looking polyp!

Yea, They seem to be going up and down, but not really reproduceing. I am considering moving them agian, but I'm just not sure right now.

The base right below the head gets thinner and thinner until they shrivel up and fall off.

Are you a member on reefcentral.com

they have a lot of good info, only thing is the mods over there are kinda....strict i guess you could say. Anyways im banned from them for linking another forum that had info someone needed  Im sure someone over there could help you more though. Good Luck

II'll see  I am a member of reefcenteral, but what I see is alot of the reef forums I am a member of, the members like to "gather around" the experts and don't seem to have any interest in helping newbs...........thats what I like about chameleonsforums, they don't do that.
