With all this crazy weather the temp downstairs is like 62.

So i bought a exo Terra night glo 25w moonlight lamp just to bring it up a little.

What do you think? Bought it This Monday night BUT he still sleep on the lower side ???

Thanks for your help peeps

Night time temps of 60 and above are ok for Panther chameleons if they are allowed to warm up during the day. Seasonal drops in temperature are natural for most reptiles, but in this case you shouldn't keep them at anything lower than 60 at night.

I am socal as well. I am not sure what type of cham you have, but 62 is ok for veileds, panthers or jacksons. If you gets below 60, then if you have a panther, you may want to provide some heat.
Chams have their favorite spots to sleep and even if you provide the heat they will sleep in their spot whether it is under the heat or not.

I have adult panthers and where I live it is regularily 18C / 65F at night before any kind of heat turns on in the Cham room. I might have the heat in their room come on at 68F/20C if I had little babies. watch your humidity during cold snaps - may be drier than you are used to.

Cool thanks :)
he is a panther and lance I got him off Josh and he got it off you :)
8 months old :)

Thanks everyone Moses

So cal as well

lol, I'm running a 150w infared bulb at night to keep basking cage in 70's

insulating entire house in couple weeks, once electric is done, some hope to be able to downgrade that bulb soon:p

I live in socal aswell and I usually never use a bulb at night for my panther. It needs to get colder before I use one at night.

My furnace doesnt come on till 60*
these old 50's houses have 0 insulation so gets rather cold in the back room where Kaleid lives

Here in Michigan, we've had no trouble with nighttime temps down to 60. (I've kept panther, Jackson's and brevs.)
