I thought cave crickets weren't supposed to be able to chirp? But lately a long constant chirping noise can be heard coming from my cricket's enclosure. I've looked carefully at each of my adult cave crickets (3 spider crickets and 3 camel crickets) and can't tell that any of them is making the noise. I don't mind it, but it's very peculiar.
I have noticed some of my baby crickets in there that look about the size of a house fly kinda look like they might have wings, but that can't be right.. can it? Is it possible that some of the tiny black crickets I put in last year (that didn't survive long) managed to have babies and there's little tiny males in there singing?
