Today before lights out Zulu fired up like never before, he truly changed into a different cham. Lost most of red but still awsome nonetheless. I heard chams change like this every so often, maybe he will go back to being red:rolleyes:

here are some before and after pics. Hope you like them

BEFORE- the date is wrong btw, it was in 2011 not 2007, he changed within 1 month time

he is gorgeous either way!!. I wonder if there is a scientific explanation for that! it is very strange!!

Wow ace this is amazing I've seen Zulu in person before when you took her to the meetings and the new picture looks like a total different Cham. :D

I have an ambilobe that did the same thing... he is a proven breeder and was red, green, and blue at rest, fired up with red, yellow and orange. Now he is yellow-bodied blue bar with some white, pretty and ready to breed, but I wanted the red. I kept a male out of him and a female from a really red line and have no clue how he will turn out or if he will change like the sire did.

Ace, You have nothing to worry about!Zulu's new colors are just as epic as his old colors..:D
Thanks Curt!!! It really surprised me how much red he lost but with the yellow i could get used to that:D
Great looking cham, must say I do prefer red. Beautiful either way.:)
LOL believe me , red is my FAVE color and he had it all, lol oh well he is still a great cham, hopefully when i breed him the red genes get passed along:)
My boy did they same thing. https://www.chameleonforums.com/what-difference-shed-makes-62882/

He actually changed his colors again. his bars are now maroon and blue and his spikes are maroon now.

The girlfriend thinks he is broken since he isnt' bright green and purple bars anymore.
thats pretty interesting, cant wait to see new pics of your guy!!!

thats interesting, your description fits perfectly to how my guy turn out, would be nice to figure out why it happen, I would like to believe despite he changed colors he still has that awsome red color genes he can pass onto his future offspring, I am gonna try again at another female again, from either another Hyperion female or somewhere else, depends. Post pics of your chams when you can!!!

Thank you everyone for the kind words!!!!
