chameleon reaching for mesh above

Reaching for the mesh? like to climb on the top of the cage?

I am not really sure why she would do this unless, maybe, you have the cage roo low. Chams like to be higher up, so they can look down at us. If she can't climb in her cage and be higher than your head, she might think climbing on the top of the cage will get her to a higher place.

My adult chams don't try to climb the tops of their cages. I think as they age and get heavier they lose interest. I think young chams do it because they like to explore.

it would be greatly benificial for us to see a picture of your cage so we can know whats going on, without that anything anyone says are just assumptions

This is a repeat post It was locked out the first time after people responded. So at this point my recommendation would be to check with your breeder for the answer you seek.

Small ones do that fairly often, its not a big deal. But adults dont usually hang upside down. Maybe she is trying to get out - is the cage big enough? does she have a good place to lay eggs? Or maybe she is wanting to get warmer, close to the heat lamp? Maybe she can see a plant or something above the cage she wants to get to? or sees something else in the room she is trying to get away from?
