Cham Terrarium New Build

Ok I just built a new home for my BB Ambilobe Panther Cham.
Inside his home measures 4'Hx3'Wx2'D
Total height with stand is 6.5'

That is super sweet! Looks awesome, I love how much thought you put into the aesthetics of it and the design. Your chameleon will love it. What chameleon will go in there?

Have PVC drain hole for drainage
I use the Exo Terra Dual Top Conapy and they both have fans built in that provide plenty of ventilation.

Very nice build. What type of lights are you using? Also why are there two lines coming from your Mistking bucket?

Digital HerpKeeper

Hard to say as I already owned lights, misting systems, fogger, and etc...

The building materials (plywood, Fiberglas, silicone, cork bark background, 1x3's, plants, etc..) cost $500
Which is funny because that is exactly what it cost for my Cham.

That price also excludes the HerpKeeper.

holy cow. thats alot.
i spent 100 bucks for all my stuff for my cage build. and i already owned the lights, and stuff.

that is insane !!! looks so damn cool !

Repti Glo 2.0
Zoo Med blue day light for basking light
And some sun glo halogen spot lights

Lol for your second question
I had 2 misting systems so I wanted to use both. Solution make my own Rain Dome independent from my Misting system. Hence 2 drain holes for 2 misting systems. LOL!

Yeah this is not your budget build that's for sure. I had the money from all the dart frogs I sold and there terrariums. On top of the fact I only will be owning one Cham, "so I went all out" so to speak.

Did you use that fiberglass sheet for like kitchen backslashes and then silicone the corners?

Exactly! Wanted to make the bottom water proof.

I think that's a great idea. are you concerned with mold building up behind the cork and on the silicone that's covered? I'm not big fan of particle board I think melamine with the edges sealed would work well.

I'm not bashing your build. I think you really put some thought into it and it looks great. I'm thinking about building a couple large Terrariums and I'm just getting some ideas together.
