Cap Est Panther Chameleon

Here is my new guy I collected from Austria. Hes a perfect example of the Cap Est locale. Notice the subtle blue/grey colouration when at rest. This seems to be a trait of these when they are young, and fades to more grey as they mature. This locale fires up solid white with red barring. I will get pics of him fired up once he has settled properly.

Very cool man I have seen a few over here that are all white with red dots this is a awesome locale and yours looks great :)

Thanks for the kind words.

These are incredibly difficult to find at the moment, however, I know of a few people with eggs from them, including me so probably later this year or next they will be a bit more common in Europe. Fingers crossed as these are very beautiful, but very expensive! lol

Awesome find, he looks fantastic. Definitely keep posting photos of this guy, it's nice to see more of a locale we don't get to see very often!

Thanks guys.

Stoneleon : He is extremely friendly, He doesnt even flinch when I go near him, if he sees another male he just ignores it, not that I deliberately showed him a male yet, he was on a tree whilst I was cleaning his cage and my faly was in plain view, firing up.

When I go in my chameleon room he actually comes to the front of his cage, not to come out though, just to sit and watch me! lol

Whats the bone or thing in front of its nose area called? Makes him looking amazing! That gives him a more manly look

That's awesome congrats on a great cham! I am waiting for my Ambanja to come through I hope he is just as friendly as your guy :)

Thats his Rostral. Some Chameleon locales have them very pronounced. I think this pic gives him the illusion it is big, but its actually no larger than that of a Nosy Be.
