Question can a veiled go crazy?

Ok I got the infection under control, after the lumps (bumps) popped, I kept it clean as best i could and gave him Bactrin Anti-biotics through his water. The lumps are still there slightly, and he is eatting and drinking again, BUT, every time anyone, including me, even walks past his enclosure, he freaks out and want to attack!! Forget trying to put my hand in there. Is it possible that the infection drove him nuts? I mean he acts like a wild animal, hissing and snapping, buffing all up, what is causing this. I used to be able to hold him and he was a calm Veiled. But not now!

well, a sick or injured animals are often stressed out and view everything around it as threats.
He's not crazy. Just scared and hurt.

Is he still in that same hamster cage?
Maybe he feels good enough to finally complain about it.
I would upgrade his living conditions.

chamlover will become famous soon enough
I just brought home 3 new chams and for the next couple of weeks i keep them secluded and their cages covered till they get used to everything. Maybe he is just sick and wants to be left alone, try covering the front of his cage and let him recover in peace and quiet. What about a hampster cage, of course he neeeds a bigger one, mine has a 4/4/6 cage and he still complains. lol.
