I just noticed that my cham has this black on his toe. I was just wondering if its goin to cripple him or not

I'm not sure I just got him a week ago. He didnt have it yesterday I don't think. I just finally got him out to handle for the first time because I didnt want to stress him out

hm. Doesnt look normal, no. But hard to say if its a concern. The picture is a bit fuzzy.

Do the toenails look okay? Could he have had his foot bruised? caught in a closing door or bitten by a cage mate (was he housed with others before you got him)? COuld he have touched a heat source/burned it? Is he using it fine? Does it look like its on the surface / loose skin (he looks like he just finished shedding, is it possible there is a stuck piece of skin)? Is the dark spot on the underside as well?

He does not have a dark spot other than that one. He seems to be using it fine. He was house with one other one when I got him but only for a few hours. I don't think he touched the heat source.

I'm lookin at him now and he seems to be shedding. His leg has some skin shedding off. I will keep an eye on it and if it gets worse I will take him to the vet

I don't think it looks right. It looks possibly necrotic, but that couldn't just happen "overnight", so I am not sure.
I side with sandrachameleon and say it could be a possible burn or a case of it's hand getting caught in the door or something.
You should take to a vet to have it checked, but see what other's have to say. I am definitely no expert and there are vets on the forum.
So fill out the form for help and maybe post some clearer close-up photos of what we're needing to look at.

That toe doesn't look swollen compared to the others. The biggest concern with a miscolored toe would be if the claw was damaged or broken and the nail bed infected. The toe would swell and be stiff and sore. Or, if old dry skin has constricted the toe and cut off circulation. If this showed up from one day to the next it might be a bruise, but in your pic it looks as if there's some old skin layered under the black area. Hard to tell. We can't see it close up but I think I would definitely examine it more closely.

Ok guys I know it's blurry but it did get better now it seems bad again. It kinda looks as if he shed and it didnt come off his foot. What should I do?

It looks like the shed is causing problems. Maybe you can soak the toes and then use a moist cotton swab to gently rub at it a little and see if it comes off. If the shed is cutting off circulation, it could cause the toes to go necrotic and fall off or become infected.

Try putting it in a container (tall and slick enough that it cant climb out) filled with luke warm water. Put some cloth or something at the bottom so it has something to hold onto. The water should cover the foot, but be very shallow and not reach the belly if possible. After ten minutes or so try rubbing the toes. If it doesnt come off easily, try soaking for another 10 minutes and try again. Be very gentle and watch it the entire time.

Ok thankyou. I read on here that a and d ointment is something to use so I put a little on there and I will soak it also

Just keep doing it every day until the shed comes off. Loose is okay, but it will still end up causing issues if it is not removed.
