can all chams change colour?
I was just wondering if anyone had come across a chameleon who did not have the abuility to change colour? My female veiled has never ever gone dark? The only colour change that I have found is that her spots go darker! Apart from that she developed orangy stripes when she was gravid the first time (which have always stayed ever since.
Now that I have two other chameleons that are constantly changing colour I was wondering if my first cham was lets say colour-changingly challenged? |

female veiled are usually less colorful than the male.
But, normally, you should start to see some interesting coloration appear when he's receptive and gravid. |

I never saw anything other than green with my lady Lucy until she became receptive, then gravid. WOW, pretty blue spots, yellow stripes. I was amazed. When she became gravid her background color changed to dark green, not black. I posted a pic of her on another thread under ummmmm. Well, look where people post about making babies. I forgot the title of that forum.
