Cage Makeover

I recently madeover Nigel's whole cage and want to know if everything looks the way it should! I have a live arboricola schefflera plant in his cage now. I have a light from www.lightyourreptiles.com (24" HO T5 Double Bulb fixture with Arcadia 6% and 6.5k Day-light Bulbs) on its way as well. :)

Also where do you get branches (live or fake)? I tried to buy a few from the pet store and they said the sticks would mold from the misting.

That's a great light:)
I used branches from my back yard (baked them in oven for 1-1/2 hours at 300F).

Hello and Welcome!

I would just get a much bigger schefflera that fills the enclosure and then you will not need to many horizontal branches. Looks good though! You will love that light.

Thanks!!!

Sweet setup ! The little guy probably loves it :D
I'm definitely going to get a couple of those ladders
for my cham!

Bravo! Nicely done. I'm sure your little guy is MUCH happier now.

And you can definitely use branches from outside. Just wet them and bake them to kill any parasites.

I use the ladder too! As far as the branches, if you know they are free of pesticides and you check for bug infestation, I do not think you need to bake them. Just my opinion. You can if you want, but I think it is overkill.

Nice upgrade! Great job.

Yeah I don't bake branches either. The ones I use wouldn't fit int he oven anyway. I just wash with soap and water and let dry in the sun.

Okay I'll try it out thanks!
