Just finished building my 18x18x36 enclosure. Just need a few tip and ideas for the bottom. Preferable something that I can make an easy drainage system. Thanks in advance.

Mine is really simple and works fine. I just measured the bottom and then went to home depot a got 3 sturdy pieces of about half inch ply wood cut. Then I took the original thin plastic bottom and used that to cover the wood. I took a drill and cut a medium sized hole in the middle. My plant is sitting in a ceramic pot and there is a slight concave that allows the water to drain into a rubbermaid container. Usually every 5 days or so I have to lift up his enclosure and empty the dish.

I thought about using the wood at the bottom and drilling holes. My concern was when water flows through the drill holes of the wood wont the wood rot? What i ended up doing is buying a 24x48 inch acrylic sheet cut it in half and double it up on the bottom. also have wood braces (dont think they were actually needed) and just gonna drill holes in the acrylic where i see fit. check out the build think thread is my first enclosure

I like this idea. If it was a treated piece of plywood you would have to worry about it rotting. Just would have to check it every few months. Thanks for the idea.

It doesn't really rot out.. just a little dirty. So I've replaced them every month. But yeah it's not that practical but it does do the job for time being before I can put more energy into it haha. I was thinking of finding a safe water-proof paint or rubberized paint.
maybe something like this:

You can use the same screen the rest of the cage is made from.
cut to size, epoxy the edges.
Nothing is going to drain better then screen :)
