Burns?

Hi can someone post a pic of what burns look like on a chameleon?

Im probs just being worried but i just read in another post that a cham has burns and they are brown and my baby veiled has had a light brown ridge down his casque and spine since i got him. Im sure that he cant get burnt in his cage as im only using a 40w bulb and it only gets to 80c but i am worried it may have happened in the shop i bought him from. If he is burnt what should i be doing and how will it affect him in the future? At the moment he seems perfectly happy.

All help greatly appreciated. thanks

Stuey.

I don't have a burn picture to show you but silvadene cream is what I would use. Can you post a picture of your cham?

About my post, I am beginning to question whether those are burns, so don't get worried! Go to google images and look at veiled's...it seems they all have the darker coloration at the edge of their casque and head. Here is an example...

My baby veil has the same brown running down his spine as well. I'm gonna call it natural coloration as there is no way my 60w generates that much heat...

ah cool, i thought it was natural but started to worry a bit. I will get a pic up when i get home. I used to be the most chilled out person in the world but as soon as i got a cham ive been Mr. Panic.

Just one more of the many lifestyle improvements cham keeping offers :D

Not to downplay your worries, but it could be worse. I have a LTC group of 7 Malaysian leaf frogs who will be joining a breeding project down in VA. I have to fly over to Juneau, AK to meet the jet on Monday. The forecast calls for mid 20's, gusty N wind, and occasional snow showers all the rest of this week and next! Even with proper insulated boxing, Phase 22 gelpacks, and good health I am going to be a nervous wreck until I hear they arrived safely!
