Bringing Peter to full health

Hey everyone.

Some of you may know I just got a new veiled named Peter. I'm watching him carefully for health issues for the first week or so just to make sure everything is okay after getting home with me from those... previous owners.

Anyway, I noticed him sleeping in the middle of the day today. Probably napped for lIke an hour... if I remember correctly that means he's probably got a vitamin deficiency, correct?

Should I give him extra multivitamin? How much extra? Any better options?

Thanks in advance,
Dillon

Sleeping in the day is not good. It is a sign of illness. I would recommend a vet check up and a fecal.

Does he have any signs of respiratory infection such as holding his head up, mucous, popping sounds, gaping when not hot, bubbles, etc? Vitamin A deficiency can cause them to close their eyes, but it usually starts with just one eye.

He has gaped 2 or 3 times it's not very hot in his cage so I'd say yes. Haven't seen anything else
