I just received a shipment with some Xenorhinum in it. Check this pair out. Giant Fischers are by far my favorite species. The Xenorhinum have got to be a close second. They are really interesting chameleons.

Wow! Look at that male! So interesting, the amount of species out there is just amazing. That female is quite the little chubber too. Good luck with these two! Not that you need it. :p

Hey Mike!

Very cool. I was just talking with someone about how much I'd like to find another nice pair of those. I've heard they can be very difficult to establish but the only two I've ever had were very aggressive and adapted well to captivity....although I still couldn't get anywhere near them. I'd had them over a year when I let them live together for a month. I never saw any courtship or any signs that the female was gravid. She dropped 6 eggs on the floor of her cage because I didn't realize. By the time I found them only 1 was saveable. It went 4 months and died with a developing embryo inside :( I still don't know if anyone in the US has hatched them.

So how many johnstoni did you get? :)

Great pics. I can't believe you got such a good one of the male colored up. Mine would always run away. The best I ever managed to get were:

edit: Oh yeah, they belong to the genus Kinyongia now too

Hey Kent I got 15 pairs of the Johnstonii and am only putting a small number up for sale. We're setting up some breeding projects with them. Both species came in really nice. They're mostly all sold now. I have a few lone males that I will be selling.

wow really cool looking, the male looks kinda rhino-ish ... except for the 'horn' being round instead of pointy
