Cainschams

Here are a few of the thamnobates from the shipment. All of the animals are very very healthy and flawless. It is great weather to have them outside also. Light rain this morning with it being partly cloudy and 80 degrees at this moment. Anyway I could go on and on so i will just shut up. Enjoy the pics.

Males.

I didnt want to bother every single one and I really dont have the time to be doing that anyway. I can say they all look as good as the ones pictured.

Are those guys full grown? Will you be breeding them or is Chris hogging them all... :p

I am looking forward to my pair. I will email you tonight Cain so that we can get everything ironed out.

Thanks guys. Gotta give credit to Benny and Steffen for doing a great job on the animals and shipping! I am so excited to get a chance to work with this species and I am very appreciative for the opportunity. Thanks again for trusting me Benny!!!!!!!

Amy, they are not full grown. I have a few REALLY small ones that I am keeping along with a pair. I cant wait to see the full potential of these guys.

I ALSO WANT TO ADD! Ive seen most of them eat today. They havent hesitated to go for crickets either. Hopefully they arent as picky as the transvaalense:)

Fortunately I've seen 3 of the transvaalense go for crickets too. I'm sure the 4th has as well but I just didn't see it personally. I'm hoping that they won't be a problem but I've heard Bradypodion in general are much more interested in flies, etc., then crickets.

Chris

You're right Chris Brady's do love flies. But the thamnobates also love crickets! And my thought is that the same counts for the transvaalense.

Anyone know of suppliers for "feeder" spiders. I'm going to look around a few nurseries tomorrow to see if egg sacks are sold. I've never seen them offered, so any info is appreciated

My three haven't seemed deterred by crickets at all. They do show extra interest in small Dubias. So much so that I've actually seen one chase them down on the ground. Very neat.

I do have some fly larvae ready to hatch out just in case they lose interest.

Great to hear the transvaalense are eating crickets also. I got some BB flies just in case. This will be the first time trying them out but Ive heard nothing but crazy cham stories about them;) Im sure my whole collection will love them and they seem rather easy to breed also.
