Basking spot temp for baby

whats a good temperature for a 3.5 - 4 month old cham? its at 80 right now should i lower it or rais it?

That sounds about right....you could go to 82 with no problems. I would go to 82 for sure by 4 months old. Do you have a veiled or a panther?

If youve got a good dig therm and temp probe. You will notice your temps should fluctuate a bit during the day. I try to keep my temps 85 & below for my juvies. I watch mine it starts at 82-in the am, and sometimes can get to 84 by the end of the day. Those temps are def in the safe range. Just be careful changing bulbs or moving the light and monitor temps closely for the first few days so you can get a good idea what the temps can get too. 80 is not too low in fact the first few days after my cham got here my basking temp stayed at about 80 because of the cold weather we were having.

80 should be find for right now. I would bump him up a degree each month until you reach 85. It is recommended to keep an adult male panther at 85.

ya i just switched from the exo terra analog thermoneter to the zoomed digi with temp probe.
