Chameleon Info:

Your Chameleon - The species, sex, and age of your chameleon. How long has it been in your care? Baby veiled, I think she is maybe a month and a half old the pet store wasn't specific about her age they did tell me that they had her for a month. This is the second day I've had her so I am probably over reacting
Handling - How often do you handle your chameleon? I haven't handled her except when putting her into her enclosure.
Feeding - What are you feeding your cham? What amount? What is the schedule? How are you gut-loading your feeders? I have crickets small and medium and meal worms.
Supplements - What brand and type of calcium and vitamin products are you dusting your feeders with and what is the schedule? I haven't used any supplements yet as I just got her and I was also wondering how often I should give her these supplements. I have 2 types of calcium supplements one with d3 and one with out and a multi vitamin as well
Watering - What kind of watering technique do you use? How often and how long to you mist? Do you see your chameleon drinking? I have a little dripper and a missing bottle I missed her enclosure 2 times yesterday and one this morning (she didn't get home to her enclosure until about 3o'clock yesterday)
Fecal Description - Briefly note colors and consistency from recent droppings. Has this chameleon ever been tested for parasites? Only one poop that I can see its white and brown.
History - Any previous information about your cham that might be useful to others when trying to help you. I really don't know any history since she is a baby but I can tell you that I had to get her from a pet store about an hour and a half away so she wasn't happy about that long drive she seemed pretty stressed.

Cage Info:

Cage Type - Describe your cage (Glass, Screen, Combo?) What are the dimensions? Cage is a metal mesh cage 3ft tall 1.5 ft deep 1.5ft wide
Lighting - What brand, model, and types of lighting are you using? What is your daily lighting schedule? I have an exoterra solar glo 125w bulb for uva uvb and heat. lighting schedule is lights go on at 6a and go of at 8:30p.
Temperature - What temp range have you created (cage floor to basking spot)? Lowest overnight temp? How do you measure these temps? Temp goes from about 30 c during the day and about 24c at night and I'm measuring it at about 3/4 way up the cage on the side wall is not directly on the light but there is a little light on the temp reader.
Humidity - What are your humidity levels? How are you creating and maintaining these levels? What do you use to measure humidity? Humidity has been around 55 to 60 percent I know that is a little high so I turned off the dripper
Plants - Are you using live plants? If so, what kind? I have a small ficus in the cage
Placement - Where is your cage located? Is it near any fans, air vents, or high traffic areas? At what height is the top of the cage relative to your room floor? The cage is on the floor for now I was gonna get a stand about a foot off the ground, and the cage is located in my living room, it's in the corner where there is little traffic
Location - Where are you geographically located? Victoria,b.c, Canada

Current Problem - The current problem you are concerned about.
I'm concerned that my baby cham is not eating any crickets or worms. when we chose her she was about twice the size of all her sisters and she was apparently stealing all her food so she looked the healthiest. We have only had her since yesterday so I very well could be over reacting but I've heard that baby cham should eat about 20 to 30 crickets a day.her food is ina little plastic cup about halfway up in her cage I've tried holding the bowl up to her and she checks it out then walks away same when I take an individual worm out. I know she must be hungry/thirsty. She has been very active crawling all around the cage except whee the food is I don't know why.any help with this would be appreciated as well as general tips for her supplements, cage anything would be great as I this is my first cham. thanks so much I look forward to hearing feedback.

alright so its complete normal for them to not eat they still have to get used to there new place also there supplementing when u start it needs to be cal with out d3 at every feeding cal with d3 2 times a month and multi vit 2 times a month

just make sure u leave her be for right now she will get used to everything and start eating soon

also allot of people on here use the repi sun 5.0 long tube for a uvb bulb and just a standard house bulb for heat im not sure if the one u have is ok but this is what allot of us use if it is wrong.

Also try to post up some pictures so that we have tell u if we see anything else that could be fixed with your setup

Hi and welcome :)

Since you've only had her a day or two it's possible she's still adjusting. I had the same when I got my girl and many others on the forum experience the same thing.

I think your temps might be a little high and this forum would recommend That you put the thermometer under the basking light so that you can measure the hottest temp available to her. For a baby it should be around 80f around 26c.

Also you would want the light on a 12 hour schedule. What are you using for a UVB source?

The humidity is fine, keep the dripper on. I would up the mistings to at least four times a day also.

And for the suplents it's plain calcium every feeding, d3 and multivitamin twice a month.

Here's a really good care sheet by jannb that should help you start out

And you'll want to check out janns laying bin blog when she gets a bit older :)

I see you're using a mercury vapour bulb. I did this to start out as that's What the store told and sold me. This is wrong of them, it's far too hot especially for such a young one. Switch it for a regular house bulb and a UVB strip 5.0.

P.s. ignore my title on this reply, stupid iPhone!

She just ate one cricket so I think she's feeling a little more comfortable I guess I was freakin out for nothing :D

Get used to it. Freaking us out is how chameleons entertain themselves....

Welcome to the board! You did a great job in finding this so quickly. You'll be able to get answers to just about any question from the people here.

We all freak out about our babies sometimes :)

You really will want to change that bulb though, I know it costs like £50 but it's really really too hot and mercury vapours don't work on a thermostat either so there's no way of regulating the heat.

hooah

I just got my baby veiled (2 months) a few days ago he didn't do.anything the first day but hide but yesterday he ate and drank so I would say ur baby is still settling in
