Every cage of the 20 in this rack is fully operational. I added some trim inside each cage around the doors so that not even the fruit flys can get out now. Each cage has its own MistKing nozzle and there are basking lamps and UV for every cage. It even works for breeding my Mantids!!!

awesome man, do you have as basking light for each one of them?

I use 1 basking light for 2 cages,it sits 1/2 over each cage and it produces plenty of basking area and heat for each cage.

does it get too hot with all the lights? I have been thinking about this if one have many mountain species and everyone needs a basking light how does one keep the temperature cold :O

WOW WEEEE WOW - that is.... AWESOME ! I think that is a great name too-
" the baby raiser 100 " lol - I remember some of the treads on this- you need to mass produce this thing

Hot diggity dog! My first thought was, "Sweet baby jesus that's a lot of electricity." My second thought was, "But seriously who gives a cr*p when it goes to the greater good of BABY CHAMELEONS."
This is a far off dream of mine, well done.

Also, for the tubs, do you have the tubs inside another tub of the same size to act as a drainage system?

It looks great Steve! I am glad you were able to get it working to its full potential. That is exactly what I had envisioned when I designed the thing.

That is INCREDIBLE! :D Is there a build thread on it at all? I'm very interested in how the wooden cages were built. And are the power strips and timers an all in one? Very impressive!

I built the baby raiser by first making a drainage cart with 2 levels and then put a 24x24x60 cage on each shelf with integrated drainage for each cage. The partitions are made from 3/4" insulating foam board with opposing notches that were cut on the table saw. This resulted in 10 individual cages per level totaling 20 individual cells at rougly 12x12x24 each. The rest is screen rails, plastic corners, screen spline, knobs, hinges yada yada yada.... Nothing to it really, lol.

This was way more tedious than I usually have patience for but it was worth the effort. Steve took it to the next level adding the misters, lights, added trim etc. Not to mention driving from Memphis to Dallas to pick the thing up from Texas Ranger who I built if for originally.

Thank you, Reptoman. That gives me all kinds of ideas for when I build a cage. I love the idea of using the 3/4 foam boards for inserts. I may have to borrow some of your ideas for when I finally do my cage build. :)

Thank You to everyone for the nice comments! As I have stated in every thread on the baby raiser Brian/Reptoman designed and built it and did a fantastic job I might add!!! I have spent many, many hours not to mention many $$$ to finish it to its current level. I could not be more pleased with how well it works!!! I still have a few more improvents to make but as I said it is 100% operational now and is filled with baby's and some Mantids. Most of the baby Jacksoni will be going to new homes around th 15th of this month and only 4 are still available. But I will fill it up again in a couple months when a batch of eggs hatch out so it won't be empty for long!!!
Thanks Brian!!!!

Steve for the whole time you have been helping me, you always say if I need something you will send it if you have it. I could use a section or two of the baby raiser. With the babies I have now, and the ones coming soon, I will need the space.:):):)
