Baby cage vs. Adult Lighting Questions

I'm about to order a cage in anticipation of getting a male baby Veiled. Caresheet faq says 16x16x30" for juvenile, 24x24x48" for adult. Does the UVB light need to span the entire width or can I use a UVB CFL in a standard fixture pointing down into the cage? (As I will have the standard 40 or 60 watt lightbuld for basking.)

I presume I should have a 24" linear UVB light for the big cage. Correct?

I agree with Carol. The 24" fixture will give more light. I would suggest a dual bulb fixture and get a 6500 k bulb for the other side to help with your live plants.
