The axolotls with no names.

I've got 2 axolotls who I just call The Monsters or The Things. I've had them 6 months and they live 20 years- I think I need to name them! Any suggestions?
I don't have pics but one is a golden female (at a guess)with fluorescent patches and she's blind (genetic).
The other is a huge mottled grey male and is very greedy.

The male should definitely be called Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon, he looked like an axolotl. The female maybe Astrid, who was the sparky blonde in the movie.

I like Toothless cos if he misses his food I get gummed to death! lol

Not sure about astrid- which film's that? I'm thinking I could call her Brave, like in the pixar movie? She has big red gills

I have lotls too!! Mine are Ponyo and and Ariel.

They're cute! Love the names. How old are they? I think mine are at least 20cm in length now

Lol I'll try to post pics of mine tomorro, as they're different colours
They're soooo easy to keep. It's like keeping goldfish- 1/3 water change every week, room temp water, no water treatment (except letting the water mature overnight before you put it in), feed em earthworms galore & that's pretty much it!

Where in the world do i get a pair?

I wouldn't know where you can get them in the US. I got them from my local reptile and aquatic centre.
They don't do much, but they're a great ice-breaker when people visit, "what the hell are those!?" lol
