Arkive Calumma tarzan Pictures

Arkive has posted some new pictures of Calumma tarzan. Here's a look at this extremely rare species.

So are these going to be exported and breeding pojects started with them? Im interested in case anyone can get them, legally of course!

They are beautiful but only 5 inches long? is that total length? Ive got to be the first to have them!!! lol

To the best of my knowledge they are a newly discovered species and they are extremely endangered. They only come from a very small fragment of forest in Madagascar meaning I would not expect to see them anytime soon in captivity (for decades at least). Until then we're going to have to be OK with pictures and video.

Ah, ok. I have a friend over here who claims to have had this species years ago but couldnt breed them. I personally think its just him trying to sound as though he is a chameleon God who can get anything. From what ive read, they were only discovered last year?
