Anyone use a Shurflo pump for misting?

I already have a (diy)misting system and am just kinda interested in peoples thoughts on pumps. Be it flojet, Shurflo, Promist, Mistking or any others. I myself have a Flojet ET508. What have you got? What is your favorite or least favorite?

I'll give you my somewhat biased opinion, which is based on personal and customer experiences. ET508 IMO is not suitable for use at all in a misting system, unless you implement thermal protection. It's also loud (but that can be reduced somewhat by properly securing the tubing), can't run dry and has low flow rate. Mist will be OK, if you just use a couple of nozzles. Shurflo were OK, but tend to be a bit on a pricier side. Service wasn't the best and I had to jump through hoops to get a pump replaced, I had to pay for shipping myself and replacement took a long time too. I ended up with an angry customer, so I sent them new pump and continued to bicker with shurflo on my own. Can't comment on Promst as I never used them. Aquatec seem to run quiet and OK for a while. It's a hit and miss! I used to sell them for a while, but flow was not consistant and I had customers complain all the time. Some would run 20 nozzles others could only run 12 nozzles. "You said I could run 15 nozzles - I can't!". It was a PITA. I would say 95% of all the returns I had were from Aquatec's pumps that would go down after a year or two of use. That's why I stopped selling them. Hate to toot my own horn, but so far, my current pumps are at around 0% for returns. Yes, it sounds biased, but that's only because I finally found a pump that's solid as a rock...plus if it would go down - you've got nothing to worry about because it will be replaced in no time at my cost - not yours!
