Alternative to basking light?

I have a 100watt Zoo Med Basking lamp/bulb.Today the temperature in the basking spot reached around 100 degrees, which I know is way too high. Tomorrow I am raising the lamp off the enclosure, hoping this will help. Is there an alternative bulb anyone would recommend that I should switch too if raising it is not enough?

Most members use a regular incandesent household 60 watt bulb.

Thankfully I had one handy! I put it in his lamp and I will see how it works out tomorrow. Thankyou!
