Additional Lighting for a Florida Lanai?

If I decided to setup a free range area on my screened in Lanai, would I need to provide additional lighting? The lanai is situated in a way that direct sunlight only falls on a small portion of it right along the edge. The rest would be shaded. I live in central Florida.

I'd say it depends. If your lanai gets sunlight all throughout the day then I'd say no. But if your building faces away from the sun and only receives sunlight for 1 hour a day then you may want to add a light if your cham is going to be on his free range for a while.

If the lanai is screened in, which I hope it is if you are going to free range your Cham, them you will need a UVB light for sure if he spends more than a couple hours a day out there. In the winter when we have cool mornings he will also need a basking light. You will want to mantain the same conditions in his FR that you have in his enclosure if he is going to spend much time there.
