Ackie Monitor or Jeweled Lacerta

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with either of these? They're both great, just need help deciding wich one to get.

I suspect the ackie would be tamer if you hope to interact with it as they are quite intelligent. I have "met" ackies who were mellow but the only lacertas I was around were quite skittish, shy, and fast. Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't lacertas drop their tails fairly easily? The lacerta's space would be less expensive to heat as they are from temperate climates.

The fact that monitors are intelligent interested me in them. I was watching a documentary on netflix. Apparently they can count up to 6. It's cool they don't get crazy huge too. I think I'm going to go with them. Jeweled Lacertas look stunning. I believe they can lose their tails.
