55gal VS 40gal breeder

so I am considering getting a 40Gal breeder tank for my Bearded Dragon and keeping my current 55gal tank as a back up. The 40gal breeder is about 12 inches shorter but its 6in-8in wider so he would have more room to turn around and such. its also not as tall as the 55 gal but then i could step down the wattage on my lights for his tank. Any info yall have or opinions would be great

Tuff call, the 55 would proably look better with the extra lenght and vertical climbing possibilites.

Keep in mind this is a BD so they do clime but not as much as a lot of lizards. Right now he is 2 logs and he only goes on the. To bask for a few hours in the morning. The other option was a 65-75 gal at k but I can't afford to spend 500 bucks on a new tank. I'm considering building one but that's a story for another thread

either a 40 gallon breeder or 55 is good for an adult. my male lives comfortable in his 40 breeder. i like the 40 breeder ones better because they are wider and the height for either is fine. honestly it's your call what you would like in my opinion

I vote 40 breeder

I'd say its O.K. if you have him out a lot. Otherwise, I'd want a bit bigger (75 gal)
