3 black snakes getting kinky in my front yard!

Ontario has some good herping... but ive never been to Mississauga so it might be different there

I live like downtown area mississauga. Theres barely even trees. Haha. I know once you get out of the city there are snakes and so on. But i would never see one in my backyard.

I only find garter snakes around here! I was out in a field the other day looking for insects for the chameleons when a snake slithered right up in front of me. i wanted to catch it and observe it for a little while but my dog wouldn't stop moving and it raced to the creek that was a few feet away

Gosh, not me! I hate them! I find these black racers in my garage all the time if I leave the door open. They scare the crap out of me!! They can also be quite agressive if cornered.

thats why you get a pixie frog carol when you see them you let the little death machine loose on them snakes!!!

I can be quite "aggressive" if cornered, as well.
Snakes have purpose just like the rest of us, so I don't advise that you kill them. And snakes are not really "hard wired" to be "aggressive". It's more like defensive behavior ..survival. It's not like they can take off running, although they do slither pretty fast ...or kick or slap away an assailant that has them backed into a corner. They have a face with teeth and they use it to the best of their abilities. Most will musk you with a very foul smelling oil from their nether region, before they bite you, though.

I am an animal lover all the way and would never do anything to hurt them. I will say, snakes are not my favorite though! I showed my mother in law the pics and she asked if I killed them, and when I told her no she thought I was crazy. I told her, what would killing them solve?. They really are not bothering anyone. The couple I cornered was to remove them from my garage and I just used a broom to do so.
