Can I keep 2 males in this enclosure?

Its the 60 x 45 x 60 cm / 24" x 18" x 24" (WxDxH) from exoterra.

I ask this because I plan on adding 2 or 3 females if it's possible, and with only one male, I'm affraid I'll start to inbreed my chams, correct? 2 males would prevent that, right?

the fina7/ideal setup would be 2.3... It is doable?

Thanks!

If you want breeding groups your going to have to separate the males and introduce one female to each male, or two females. Then you can later cross breed the babies from the separate males, but do not breed the babies from the two females with the same male. :) I hope I made sense. its best not to keep two males in one enclosure.

I would only get one male! I have had better sucess this way. This way the males don't wear the females out and the males don't battle-much more peaceful! :)

So, for a breeding project, I need 2 enclosures both with a 1.2 or 1.3 population and I can cross breed the second generation at will?

How many generations can I go with this kind of setups?

Thnx.

Here is my advice! These guys breed like bunnies! So I wouldn't get too many females. If you have the 2 different populations then you can breed the 2nd generations!

Hey, Im very interested in the social aspects of these guys. I know males are of course territorial about their breeding groups (i.e females), but would it ever be possible to have two breeding groups in the same cage. How big would this cage have to be. Say 2.6 pygmies.... Would the two males take ownership of three females or would one just compete for all 6. Anyway, just curious about these guys that I know little about.

If you had a 40 gallon tank it wouldn't be a problem to house 2.6, but you will have a MILLION babies in a pretty short period of time! They would just randomly breed-there is no pairing that I can see. I have a male that has to stay in his own cage because he will NOT leave everybody "alone"-if you get what I mean! :)
